Glenys is a 24 year old female of Italian heritage. Glenys is social and fun loving. She is non-verbal and requires support with daily tasks and community access. 

Preferences

Glenys enjoys being social. At home she enjoys eating pasta and watching other people cook. She very much enjoys watching TV, DVD's, Netflix and YouTube. She also loves puzzles, music and celebrations such as birthdays. 

Glenys dislikes having her routine disrupted or changed. She is very structured and likes things as she expects them to be. She prefers not to be rushed and pressured to do something. 

Living goals

Glenys would like to be happy in her new home by sharing it with someone who is similar to herself. She wants to maintain her independence in her new home. 

Flatmate preferences

Glenys would like to share with someone a similar age. She would like someone who is social but also who respects privacy and personal space. She would prefer someone who is not too loud and likes to be neat and tidy. 

Activities

Within the home music and reading are offered with the support of carers. Out of the home swimming, exploring the community and visiting restaurants and cafe's. 

Skills development

Independent living skills are nurtured including cooking, gardening and exercise.  

Household routine 

Glenys goes out every weekday. She spends weekends exploring the local community and visiting friends and family.

You must be aged 18 years or over.

This will be an enrolled Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) property. You will need to be eligible for the appropriate SDA level of funding in your NDIS plan when it is time to move in.

You need to be able to pay a Reasonable Rent Contribution (RRC) + Commonwealth Rent Assistance (CRA) + Utilities (bills).

You will need to enter into an SDA Residency Agreement.
